NPCO Endorsements

NARAL Pro-Choice Oregon PAC is pleased to announce its endorsements for the 2008 primary election. Candidates are interviewed by the PAC Board and endorsements are determined based on several criteria and after careful determination. In some instances, NARAL Pro-Choice Oregon PAC may choose not to make an endorsement in a race. This is not an indication that there are no pro-choice candidates running, but rather that all candidates meet the PAC’s criteria in equal measure. NARAL Pro-Choice Oregon’s Choice Action Team (CAT) is a group of highly dedicated activists who devote a significant amount of time to working with NARAL on a variety of issues. In local races, the CAT reviews questionnaires submitted by candidates and then offers a recommendation based on a red light/green light rating system. A green light indicates that a candidate is fully pro-choice, a yellow light indicates that a candidate is mixed on choice and a red light indicates that a candidate is anti-choice. The CAT offers these recommendations to aid voters in their decision-making process. These rating do not indicate, nor should they be construed as, an endorsement for any candidate.
