Abortion Remains Fuzzy Issue in Gubernatorial Election
With less than four months until the gubernatorial election, Republican candidate Chris Dudley has still failed to take a stance on the issue of abortion. He has skirted around the issue in most interviews, simply answering "I would look at anything that is brought before me and make a decision based on how it is written." As for rumors he would attempt to require parental notification for minors seeking abortion, a measure defeated by Oregon voters in 2007, he has yet to give any clear answer.
