Alicia Temple is a Legislative Advocate at the Oregon Law Center where she advocates for justice for low-income communities. She brings 10 years of experience in advocacy and policy, after getting her start as an intern with Planned Parenthood Advocates of Oregon in 2010. At PPAO she worked as an organizer and policy director, where she pushed for legislation to increase access to contraception and greater protections for patient privacy. She also brings experience in non-profit management from her time as Deputy Director at the Coalition of Community Health Clinics. Alicia has been at OLC for 3 years with a focus on human services and addressing the harms of policies that criminalize poverty. She currently serves as a Co-Chair of the Human Services Coalition of Oregon. She has a Masters of Public Policy from Portland State and a BA in Sociology and Women’s Studies from Seattle Pacific. Alicia grew up in Clackamas and currently lives in NE Portland with her partner and a cat named Beatrice.
