We’re looking for our next Development Director!

Pro-Choice Oregon seeks to identify, support, and welcome our next permanent Development Director to our team. At Pro-Choice Oregon, we believe in reproductive freedom, racial equity and social justice—and are working to ensure our fundraising efforts are consistent with these values. We are looking to hire a new member of our team who is excited to help build strong political fundraising programs, while continuing to learn more and operationalize community-centric fundraising strategies into our development planning and programs. We are looking for individuals with the following experience:

 

  • 3-5+ years of formal or informal experience, education, and/or training commensurate with fundraising experience in the nonprofit sector with growing confidence in leading and managing a development program and team.

    • Has experience in soliciting, closing, and stewarding gifts; experience with a diverse donor pool is ideal.

    • Campaign fundraising (C4/PAC) experience or enthusiasm to learn and develop these skills is a preferred qualification based on the organization’s current needs. 

  • Examples of experience, education, and training that fulfill this requirement include relevant lived experience and non-traditional education, volunteer or paid work, internships, community-based and other types of training and workshops, community college, trade school, and university courses and degrees.

  • Experience, training, and education from inside and outside of the United States are considered equally. Transferable skills and lived experience will be considered.

  • Other relevant experiences and skills include: grant programs, event planning, database management, marketing and communications.

 

This is a salaried, exempt, full-time position. The starting annual salary for this position is $72,000 per year, with some room for negotiation.
